...And that was Friday!!! Never a dull moment at Stoneridge!

Thank you to all of you for your help with Carnival. It was great to see so many of you there, not to mention the artwork and baskets.

We are in our last week of CAASPP testing. Be sure to get all kids tests completed by Friday.

Breakfast has been a huge success. We could probably use a couple extra hands in the MP if you are free before school. It is a learning process and we are trying to be as efficient as possible. Each day gets better! Thank you to all of you for your willingness to help and understanding if the students get to class late.

May arrives this week. Impossible!

Last week was a great week! I loved the rally with our Pennies for Patients donation, honoring one of our own 5th graders for being a spelling beast and the entire (well almost) house competition!! Not to mention all of the field trips our students were experiencing. Guess what?? There is more to come!

This week is another big week. The Carnival is Friday! Be sure to get you parent volunteers signed up and the class baskets finished. I know it is more work for you but it is appreciated by all. I am looking forward to my first.

We have our 1st Annual State Float Parade tomorrow at 1:15pm. This particular float happens to be a personal favorite of mine. Go Pack Go!!

Happy Sunday!

Welcome back! (Almost) I hope each of you found time to relax and recharge over break. This time of year can get very hectic and our focus is often split between this year and next. Don't forget to take time to celebrate the growth your students have made and the communities you have built in your classrooms. All of that is because of you! 

Reminder: Tomorrow, Monday, is our PD day. See here for where to report in the morning. Afternoon will be at Stoneridge in the MP.

As we all saw, our musical, Aladdin, was amazing! Keeping with tradition, it rivals a Broadway production. Thank you to the Directors: Mandy Rupert, Melissa Oxenham, Shannon Nelson, JeriAnn Caines and Laurel, from Roseville High School. Both they and the students worked incredibly hard and the outcome was a phenomenal show!

Nuts and Bolts:

* Articulation Cards were put in your box before break. Please work on getting them filled out. I will let you know when we are going to put classes together as soon as I know! 

* Open House next year~ Right now, it looks like March is in the lead. I will give everyone one last chance to cast their vote and then let you know when it will be. 

* Staff Meeting on April 24th will be dedicated to Houses. We will look at applications and outline/clarify responsibilities.

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week with lots of special things planned. Please soak in and enjoy the attention you deserve!

💥The Musical is coming: This Thursday and Friday!

Just so you all know, I will not be there Thursday, but I will be there Friday. My son is in their musical on the same nights. Don't worry, next year, I will be sure to let Josh know when he can and cannot have events!! 

Sami Circuit Sons Event is April 26th and the PTC has gotten some new merchandise in case you are interested in ordering. They have hats and children's socks. The hats are $18 and the socks are $15.

Also on Friday, April 26th Jesse Bennet will be coming at 2pm, after the rally! She is willing to come a morning, or two, during testing but we can talk about that at the staff meeting.

As you know, the Carnival is coming! We are sending out Save The Dates!

Saturday was the Tommy Apostolos dinner. It was a wonderful event and hugely successful in fundraising money for RCSD families that need extra support with supplies and clothes. Sheila Schue's class made some flowers for the event and one just happen to be at my table!

How is it possible that another month has flown by?? I honestly cannot believe it. April and May and that is it. Wow! 

What a week we had. First, the rush to get ready for Open House, the hurry to get it over with, then the day after! Phew! I know I was worn out. 

Again, thank you for all you do! You put so much time into making your classrooms look amazing and then all of the work you put in on Friday. Seriously, you are all the BEST! 

Thank you to JeriAnn and her work on the Book Fair! The students will benefit greatly from the proceeds. (Cutest Clifford EVER...Just sayin.)

I have some staffing updates. Some I have told you, some are new.

Robin Learn will continue with the K/1 split.
Kristen Buccellato will be teaching 1st grade.

Sara Franco will be teaching 5th grade.
We currently have two opening in 3rd grade. 

Our Pennies for Patients drive was hugely successful! Thank you to Cathy and her Leadership kids! It feels good to give back!

I am still laughing about Friday's rally. SO FUN!!! Even with the clean up on aisle one before it began:) Nothing will get in our way!

The Positive Behavior Committee is working hard to get our Recess Rodeo Refresh ready for Friday afternoon. We will let you know what game you are in charge of as soon as we have it figured out. 

There was a request for jump ropes for the kids at recess. There happen to be some in the storage closet so we brought them out on Friday. Just wanted to let you know so you can keep an eye out.

Open House is this Thursday and it will be a busy day. Book Fair is open from 4:30-7pm. Food Trucks from 5-7pm and classrooms open from 5:30-6:30pm. We will get together after Open House at Islands. Hope to see you there!
