Stoneridge Hub and Shared Drive: (living sheet)
In hopes to organize and share all of the amazing resources Stoneridge already has, we are working on putting together a Stoneridge Hub and shared drive for all staff members. These will serve as a one-stop shop for all resources related to Stoneridge. Please note, they are both a work in progress. If you have anything you feel could be added to either place don't hesitate to share it with me (Megan Spears).

Sunday, June 4

Happy Last Two Days of School!! There will be a lot of fun to be had these last two days. Today, Joelle said, 'I am sad school is ending. I am excited for summer and excited for my new school, but I am really sad that it means second grade is going to end.' What a tribute to all of you! Our students feel so loved and love coming to school everyday. I saw a bunch of quotes that talked about how the first day of school is way better than the last because it means something new is beginning whereas the last day signifies something is ending. Isn't that the truth!

The end of this year also marks the end of my time at Stoneridge. I cannot believe it. I have loved my time at Stoneridge and I have learned so much. Leaving Stoneridge feels like I am leaving my family and that is tough! But like I mentioned above, new things represent new beginnings and I know this change will be wonderful for Stoneridge. I just want to say thank you to all of you and I will truly miss you.

Fun Fact of the Week:

Sunday, May 21

This image popped up when I searched 'last full week of school.' Of course, I was looking for a funny meme, but when I saw this, I was like, Wow! This is so true. The last weeks and the first weeks of school are so similar and these things are very important! I had not really thought of it that way, but this made it so clear.

All of that being said, this is the last full week of school! Can you believe it? I cannot! I always say time flies after Spring Break, but I swear it moves faster each year.

PACK Pass Update: We will not have a PACK Pass party. I will be doing raffles at lunch each day for a sweet gift bag including Prime, cotton candy and some other things. The kids can choose to put their PACK passes in this bucket and I will not empty it between drawings. We are also working on a 'Door Dash' option for kids that have been saving this with in mind. However, this is work in progress. We have to figure out how many kids this effects and what we will be getting. I will let you know as soon as I know.

Continue to flood the kid with PACK passes these last couple weeks. It will help with behavior and I know they will be motivated by these gift bags.

Check Out Update: Walkie Talkies- Candi will be collecting your walkie talkie when she takes your material checklist. If you have already turned in your checklist, please turn in your walkie talkie at the end of the year. Candi also needs the walkie talkie box. If you haven't turned that in, you can turn it in with your walkie talkie. How many times can you say walkie talkie in one small paragraph?

Benchmark readers: As Candi has shared, we would like an updated inventory of our Benchmark readers. The purpose of this is to simply know what we have. They have been moved around quite a bit and we need an updated inventory. You can share your total inventory as a grade level. We will work on a spreadsheet for your numbers that will be shared soon.
PACK Assembly: This week we will recognize our 'Top Timberwolf.' Many of you have asked if you can recognize 2 students and that is totally fine! We will have our assembly outside. Yay!

PBIS Update:

Please turn in your classroom handbook for revision. We will have boxes under the table in the office. Thank you!
At our PTC meeting on Thursday, the PTC introduced their new board members. I have been working with them quite a bit and they are awesome! Please feel free to copy and paste the information below with your parents. They still need several members.

Congratulations to the new PTC Board!

Sunday, May 14

Happy Mother's Day to each and every one of you. Whether you are a dog mom, a new mom or a mom attending college graduation, you all deserve a day of relaxation and pampering. You are not only loved by your own children but also be each of your students. You are all incredible humans 💖

Congratulations to this year's Teacher Who Makes a Difference, Poppi Canepa! As you all know, Poppi will do anything for her students and truly cares about each of them. She creates a family in her classroom and integrates GLAD strategies throughout her teaching. Poppi has also taught the 4/5 combo for two years in a row and has handled it with grace. Even with two grade levels in her classroom, she finds time to work in small groups with her students in order to provide the added support they may need. A huge congrats to Poppi!

Volunteer Appreciation Tea: The Volunteer Appreciation Tea is Monday June 5th at 1:30. Please add your classroom volunteers to this list: Volunteer List

Thank you to all of you who helped at and attended the Carnival. It was amazing! Mr. Hinh took pictures all evening. Check them out: Carnival Pictures

Reminders:

Pinks and Blues: As you are putting class lists together, do not separate your Pinks and Blues according to the classes you create. Please give Luisa the pinks and blues for your current class.

Moving or Leaving/ End of Year Check Out:

If you are moving schools, please be sure to leave anything you were reimbursed for because it belongs to Stoneridge.

Below is the updated check out list. See the changes to technology. Your iPad, Apple TVs, and remotes for both TVs and Apple TVs placed in one ziploc bag per room, with room number indicated on bag.

 Check Out List

i-Ready Window 3

Just a reminder that iReady Window 3 ends on May 26.  Window 3 is required for 2nd grade and optional for Grades 3-8 because of CAASPP testing.

PBIS: We are thinking on our feet in the lunchroom to finish the year out strong and sane! Instead of class dojo, we are handing out green PACK passes that are just for the lunchroom. When students get one of these passes they put it in a grade level bucket for a drawing before their lunch is over. The "prizes" are those highly desired snacks! Talk about instant gratification and a much quieter and cleaner lunch room.

EL UpdateThank you all so much for the time you took to complete the RFEP and EL monitoring forms. One copy will be placed in the student's cum folder and one will go home. I will put the copies to send home in your boxes. Please send them home on Friday, May 19. Since some families have multiple children, I would love for all forms to go home on the same day.  Thank you!

TOSA TidbitsGIFT OF TIME! See the link below to sign up for an additional 40 minute prep on us! You can leave us plans or we can plan the time for you. Gift of Time!

Did you know... When Ally Simmons was 15 years old her summer looked like this: She worked at a donut shop from 6am-10am and then went and worked at a pizza/pasta restaurant from 5pm-11pm....she took naps sometimes during the day to make it work.
